I started Hearthstone Properties KC because I kept seeing Kansas City homeowners get lowballed by investors who did not know the market or care about the outcome. That bothered me. So I built a company that operates differently.
Who I Am
I am a licensed Kansas REALTOR® and a member of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®. I have personally evaluated and completed more than 30 local Kansas City investment transactions. Every one of them taught me something about what homeowners actually need when they are facing a difficult sale.
Before founding Hearthstone, I spent more than two decades in B2B enterprise technology sales — working with Fortune 500 firms to deliver telecom, IT infrastructure, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, and data center solutions to mid-market and large enterprise customers across the country. In 2023, I founded Heartland Network Consultants, my own IT consulting firm serving Kansas City businesses. That career shaped how I approach every real estate transaction: clear communication, honest numbers, and a process that actually works the way it is supposed to. I did not get into real estate on a whim. I got into it because I saw a better way to serve the people in this city.
Hearthstone Properties KC is locally owned. There are no out-of-state investors behind me. No corporate partners. No private equity money dictating how I make offers. I answer to the people I work with, not a boardroom.
How I Work Differently
Most cash home buyers in Kansas City are either large companies running a national playbook or individual wholesalers looking for a quick assignment fee. I am neither.
Here is what working with me actually looks like:
- I personally evaluate every property. I am not handing your house off to someone else to run numbers.
- I will tell you if selling to me is not your best option. If listing on the open market or another path would put more money in your pocket, I will say so and explain why.
- I am licensed and accountable. A real estate license means I am held to professional standards. Most cash buyers are not licensed and not subject to the same rules.
- I know the Kansas City market. Not from a spreadsheet — from being here, doing deals here, and understanding what homes are actually worth in specific neighborhoods.
- I do not use pressure, deadlines, or scare tactics. You get a number, you get an honest explanation, and you decide.
Who I Help
I work with Kansas City homeowners in situations where a traditional sale does not fit or does not feel right. That includes:
Inherited property. When you inherit a property, you are often dealing with grief, family dynamics, and a house you never planned to own. I have worked through those situations before. My job is to make the property part the simplest part of what you are dealing with.
Foreclosure pressure. If you are behind on payments, the timeline matters. I will not sugarcoat the math, and I will not waste your time. If a fast sale makes sense for your situation, I will tell you exactly what I can offer and how quickly we can close.
Divorce. Divorce is hard enough without a complicated home sale dragging it out. I have helped sellers who needed speed, sellers who needed flexibility, and sellers who needed both. I work with what your situation actually requires.
Aging out of a home. Some people have lived in their home for 30 or 40 years. It is not just a property — it is memories and belongings and things to sort through. We can work at whatever pace makes sense. You do not have to rush.
Tired landlords. If the rental has become more hassle than it is worth, I can help you get out from under it cleanly without listing it, without dealing with tenants during showings, and without repairs.
Houses that need work. If the house needs significant repairs and you do not want to deal with contractors, timelines, and cost overruns just to sell, I buy as-is. No repairs, no cleaning, no staging.
